I liked it because Captain Riley breaks everything down and well he is a great instructor. any insights on what I will expect while im in ms-1

While you are an MS-1, expect to have fun and not have much expected of you. The ROTC uses your first two years to get you interested in the program and give you a very basic background to the military. Since it is a very light load your first couple years, use this time to get ahead of your peers. Get a FM 7-8 and a USACC TACSOP from your battalion and start studying them. Volunteer for OPFOR or other optional training. If your school has Pershing Rifles, Ranger Challenge, or other clubs, look into joining one (or more.) Be proactive without being a spotlight ranger.

Thank you for the insights...I figured I wont do much ...but I sure will work hard to get ahead of peers of course.;o)
