I know, with all this fun technology and shit, who would dare read a book? Well, as the forum nick might suggest, MansonTheTool reads a shitload of books. (Duffmann says a lot of things!) Anyone here would probably be interested in the content, but it's pretty much about a kid from Tennessee who goes to U of Penn, AROTC and is with the 10th Mountain in Afghanistan right after the 11th. It's called "This Man's Army" by Andrew Exum and I thought it was a kick ass book. It's fairly short, only 230 pages (and unfortunately only available in hardcover for the low-low price of 25.00 unless you order it onlin.) The kid is a fantastic writer and leaves out all of the politics and bullshit you figured he probably would have had to edit out. Some of his stories from his first orders and Ranger school made for a great laugh. A good hunk of the book is about the missions in Afghanistan he was on, but keep in mind it's written for the common civilian, so it's not extremely indepth.
