Howdy,
I've been reading posts on this site for a while, but this is my first time to post.
Anyways, I just found out that a few Mountain Warfare slots opened up at my school and my Cadre are letting me go :D. So pretty much, I was just wondering if anybody knows exactly what goes on at the school and what kind of training I should be doing before going. I've been rucking a good bit and have heard you have to do a lot of land nav there, but I havn't heard much else other than that.
Any information you have would be a big help.

:a few" slots opened up at your school? Damn... where are you from? the Point?

Anyway, here are a few resources for you:

A word of advice: DON'T LEAVE YOUR BUDDY. A friend of mine did that about 10 years back, they thought they could find the land nav points quicker by separating. He fell off a cliff. Thankfully he landed on his ruck, and was only paralyzed for two days... but even that might have been mitigated if they hadn't had to go and find him when he didn't come back. He was part of the reason that they stopped allowing cadets to go for a little while.
