Tactical, Kinetic, Effects, Linear, Assymetric, ... not in every use but you guys know what I'm talking about. It's the army's version of corporate speak.
"We need to utilize synergy to achieve to tactically-kinetic effects during assymetric operations...."
STFU you don't know what you're talking about. Take one for team USA and suck start an M9 so we can get a fucking replacement.

All acronyms that don't correctly spell the word they're supposed to be- i.e. LDRSHIP. If it isn't a word, don't try to make it one. Just stop.
"Wargame the situation" referencing anything that primarily has to do with filling out forms or sitting in a conference room.

I had to think about that for a second, but then ::lol::

No, I'm not a fat body....though I do make Cady look like a 6 year old...but that's just because he's as tall as a 6 year old.
Its a new term, which I suspect we will be hearing a lot. Its no longer about mere physical fitness, but mental, emotional, and spiritual fitness as well....*choke*

Yeah, well, your attractive female crew member totally had the hots for me. That's why she didn't slap me in the face like she did the other guy.
I really do hate it that the Army has this culture of either making up or fucking up words ("orientate" instead of "orient"), or doing the whole using-lingo-to-make-this-sound-more-sophisticated-and-thought-out-than-it-actually-is thing. You sound smarter if you just say what the fuck you mean.

"Triangulate"--when it's not used on a land nav course.
(As in, "Yes, there are some speedbumps that we didn't anticipate. But we need to TRIANGULATE to be able to reach our bottom-line again."
oh yeah, I'd like to add "bottom-line" as well.

I don't know why it bothers me so much. Probably overusage. "Fidelity" is annoying too, as mentioned above.
"Fusion" can get pretty freaking annoying too.

We had a "roast" for a retiring officer here on Carson a few years ago, where some of his NCOs tried to put on a skit similar to the old George Carlin "I’m new wave, but I’m old school,..." ("Modern Man monologue) one--only using current military buzz words.
One of the funniest skits I'd seen in years! "I'm high-n-tight, not low-n-slow...A & B's packed & I'm good to go,..."

ditto Yeah we used to play that in one of my units… ;-)
Another version we did at the Advanced Course (Captains Career Course) was spring-butt bingo. – a “spring-butt” was one who would always raise his hand in class to either answer a question or (worse) ask a question. After the first month of the course, there were a number of classmates who became well-known as spring-butts. Whenever we were in the bigger classrooms (or auditorium) a number of us would play the game. It caught on, and by the end of the course, practically everyone was playing it.
and the latest potus bs bingo recently across my screen

Never played it, but I know there are versions for business meetings and such. They have "power" words or current "buzz" words on them.
Which reminds me, there a bunch of toolbags studying business here. Its not bad at the grad level, but at the undergrad level, its pretty fucking ridiculous.
So, I'm guessing TG's a tad bit uncomfortable with all those undergrads walking around talking about their "wenus"?! (C'mon, who here watches Seinfeld?)

ca·pac·i·tance –noun Electricity .
1. the ratio of an impressed charge on a conductor to the corresponding change in potential.
2. the ratio of the charge on either conductor of a capacitor to the potential difference between the conductors.
3. the property of being able to collect a charge of electricity. Symbol: CTHIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GOVERNANCE!!!
Also, if I have to hear the word "austere" one more time, I may throw up. I heard it four times in five minutes in one brief the other day. It's not that it's not true (this place is pretty austere), but can we get a thesaurus to hand around, please?
"Hey LTCady, is that a bull?"
"Nah. It's austere."

This was an ol' retired aviator, not sure if it's something that's still around or if he just carries his lingo with him forever.
A word I heard from an armor dude in the CLC was "high adventure" and we're not talking about Indiana Jones either. lol
