What do you guys think? Still like the one with the battle flag better, but this is still much better than the last one.

Old news. But you are right, it is much much better than that last piece of crap they came up with. While I did prefer the battle flag version, if they gotta change, at least they kept a somewhat CSA theme to it. Now it's just up to Mississippi.

I knew they changed it, but I never saw what it looked like until this weekend when a LT pointed it out to me. Surprised NAACP hasn't bitched and complained about it or the 'Bama flag.

Why, the Alabama flag isn't a confederate flag. I think you are thinking of the Mississippi flag, hence my earlier statement. And yes the NAACP has bitched about it, but it was put to a public vote and they elected to keep it.

I didn't mention the Mississippi flag since you already mentioned it, and I'm sure the NAACP has done their bitching about that. The Alabama flag was designed to look similar to the Confederate battle flag. The Florida flag looks a lot like it too, but I don't know too much about that.

BTW, I love 'Bama girls :D

The only similarity is the crossed stripes. If the NAACP is going to bitch about that, then they've got their heads further up their asses than I thought. There are plenty of flags that share this design (Scotland, Jamaica, etc)

From what I know, the 'Bama flag was intended to look like the battle flag without looking too much like it. I don't know if the Florida flag was also intended to look like it, so I left it off. And we all know the Jamaican and Scottish flag were not intended to share any similarities.

They tend to like to push it more than we expect every time.

Florida wasn't really part of the south during the war. And since when do you know any Alabama girls?

It's still not a part of the south. That's one reason why I'm not sure about the flag's origins.

And since when do you know any Alabama girls?
Since '97 when I met the Duchess. I just love Southern girls. Virginia girls drive me crazy too :D (in more than one way unfortunately)

I'm from Va and I'm here to tell you, all those girls suck (but they don't, and that's the problem.) After I came to Jersey, things started a-changein.

Not really, but ... well, I just saw Passion of the Christ and can't fall asleep now, so I'm just posting random thoughts on AIFA... before I drive myself crazy thinking about religion. Please feel free to ignore my posts

You guessed it TG, but only halfway. I put the rest in MWR. I figured it was a movie and that's recreation. I'm so damn smart sometimes. And you all thought I didn't know how to moderate...
