I guess it's about time to stop lurking...

I'm an MSIV at the University of Oregon, and SMP in an infantry unit. I enjoy motorcycles, being lazy, and watching some sports, pretty standard stuff. I decided it's about time I mix in some participation around here, as I'm sure in the next year or so I'll have plenty of questions (more than now that is).

Welcome.

Glad to see you are jumping right in the discussions.

And thanks for posting that branch orientation link... Outstanding. I didn't know the Army had that.

Sammy should have that posted in a prominent place (maybe a post at the READ THIS FIRST thread).

good luck with active duty.

Welcome to AIFA, or out of the shadows at least. You should be proud of yourself, I don't think you've been flamed by anyone yet for doing anything retarded.

I274, with all due respect, and I mean with ALL due respect, that website is about as fucked up as 8 guys screwing 9. Its "extreme" site design(techno music) is annoying as hell. The videos are a noble idea but are incredibly dated. A lot of the features are broke I think. Uncle Sugar needs to rebuild that site, they have the right idea, but most my Myspace pages are more coherent.

an old school Ranger once told me "with all due respect" translated to something around "sir you are a fucking idiot"

that website is about as fucked up as 8 guys screwing 9.

8 guys screwing 9? WTFo?

Yeah... read TEX's reply above.

Plus I'm pretty sure every cadet has seen it already, except for the lucky ones.

Yeah, I specifically mentioned the outstanding soundtrack that site is rockin. It gets the job done as far as duty stations though.

I think he meant to say "Tex's post above," Assoc. I was confused as well.

I'm still confused as to how Sammy can get a New Jersian & a Texan mixed up? Maybe the static from the rotors is starting to affect his brain?

Sure would explain some of the antics I've seen OTHER rotor-heads pull! :-D

Don't ever, ever confuse my home with the gigantic wop infested cesspool to our southwest.

Not really. I can't speak for the other branches, but their list for AV is horribly outdated and incorrect.

My mistake, guess I had the princess on the brain.

mea culpa.

I hadn't seen the site before ... some of the links are good though... my wife liked it (she's ANC) .... and yeah that music is TOTALLY annoying.

Tex, -- thanks, but you don't have to be polite to me. -- just do as Aries said .

Sorry for the "all due respect" quote, I was thinking of Taladega Nights when I wrote it.

...Exactly

And I'd like to make a clarification: I'm not from Texas. I'm from Ohio. I've never even seen Texas. My name comes from an NCO who used to call me that because to him I was "Texas Sized" at around 6'4 225

Touche`...MJ? ;-)

& beau-coup sorry, Tex. Assuming someone from the greatest state of Ohio is from Texas is MUCH worse than insinuating someone from NY is from NJ...IMHO, of course. :-D
