This site provides a ongoing tally of the casualties of the Iraqi/Afgani conflicts. It's done in bar graph and calender format with the names of those lost. It's always depressing to see how many have given (and will give) their lives. Hopefully this will all be over soon and we can get on with our normal lives. Unfortunately it doesn't look that way, with conflicts in Liberia, N. Korea, and ongoing terrorist threats.

You're right, I probably didn't want to see that. Oh well, it has been reported in the news everytime someone dies, whether or not it was on the front page is a different story. That site wouldn't be so bad, but it was done so analytically, not very compassionate. It might have been better I guess if it were a little more patriotic or something, I can't quite explain what bothered me so much about it, aside from the obvious.

This is a very sad memorial and I cry whenever I see something like this. I cry because it makes me wonder, what are we doing there and is it really worth it???

You cry because you can't figure something out, & not for the loss of a service member?

Talk about skewed priorities. If you're gonna cry, cry for the loss, not the politics.
