My three pieces of advice for FAOBC (don't let the QM insignia fool you):

Don't recycle. Even if that means quitting the Ranger program because you are failing classes. If you recycle, you cannot do pre-Ranger during your second OBC class, so it's futile anwyays.

Never, ever, even for five minutes, park under a tree at the BOQ. You'll see why after you see someone else do it. Don't make yourself the guinea pig here, especially if you have a nice vehicle.

Last but not least, don't blow all your money buying crap at Staples. Invest in some things like the Call for Fire clipboard, but the pretty laminated maps and what not will only deflate your bank account and will not inflate your GPA.
