I'm interested in flying and transporting or hopefully a combination of the both after I branch. Yes, I want transpo and it is not a crime!
Nothing all that special. I'm my Bn C/XO this year. So it should be a busy year. Does anyone have the memo that says we are allowed to wear the tan boots with our BDU's? Our PMS won't less us wear them and I want the reg that says we can

Welcome aboard. Good luck in your job this year.

As far as your uniform question, go to:

http://www.armyg1.army.mil/hr/uniform.asp

See RECENT CHANGES (in blue below the picture)
Click on ACU Ensemble ALARACT msg 2022002 Apr 05 (last msg of RECENT CHANGES)
Once you get the msg (a word doc), go down to para 6d. (last page)

6. BATTLE DRESS UNIFORM (BDU) AND DESERT BATTLE DRESS UNIFORM (DBDU) WEAR POLICY. THE FOLLOWING ITEMS, WHICH ARE PART OF THE ACU ENSEMBLE, ARE AUTHORIZED FOR WEAR WITH THE BDU AND THE DBDU:

6A. RIGGER BELT
6B. MOISTURE WICKING T-SHIRT (TAN)
6C. GREEN SOCKS
6D. ARMY COMBAT BOOTS – HOT WEATHER AND TEMPERATE WEATHER (TAN)

AR 670-1 is the uniform reg. This and other msgs are updates to it until the AR is re-written.

Also, scan previous threads on this site. We’ve had lots of uniform questions before. ‘Probably have the answer for you already.

and your PMS is a prick and a dumbass.

Well I wouldn't necessarily call him a prick as he seems to be a dumbass. Maybe he has another agenda for your BN... Maybe they can't afford them in supply, not everyone can afford them, and he wants uniformity. Who knows?

Tryin' to be the optimist here.

maybe I was too harsh...

The PMS has the right to demand uniformity for a formation.

But the reg allows the brown boot with the BDU (although I think it looks gay as hell). If anyone has those boots, they are good for both the BDU and the ACU.

Personally, I'd stay with my old jungle boots (faded green tops) with BDUs until I have to change over to ACUs.
