Clever name. Welcome

I thought you left for bolc2? or are you just staying around for fun in the new house?

I know F-16 pilots who claim to fly "lawn darts," but why the name "dirt-dart"?

Just wondering. Everyone's got a story to tell 'round here.

Dirt Dart is a creative euphemism for cherry chumpers, one of those phrases more experienced jumpers like to scream at the new guys during the gentle, welcoming experience that is your first jump at your unit.

PS: I wasn't responsible for the "So now you're an MS 4" video so don't blame me. I can forward your comments to those who did though.

Yeah, it could have been so much better.

The part about PT was good though.

Whoa, you actually heard a 16 pilot call it a lawn dart? Usually you just hear 15 or other fighter jocks call the 16 a lawn dart.

TG, it was more a statement along the lines of "We're NOT 'lawn-dart' drivers!"--but they still uttered the term... :D

They may raz a little, but mind you you're an officer (or will be).

Never heard of this though. Heh, maybe one day I can jump in with some of my trucks. :)

[insert buzzer sound here]

Wrong answer, try again. Dirt Dart is a euphemism for Paratroopers in general. You will be called much more creative names on your cherry blast once you get to your unit. You'll figure it out one day maybe. 8-)
