So,
I was standing tall before the man today, and he informed me that 50% of this years OML weight was GPA.
Not that it changes anything now, but that sucked.

That's very suprising, because accordining to my sources the oml breakdown is: 50% ass kissing and 50% PT.

Order of Merit List (the ranking of cadets from 1 to dead last.) If you don't know what a GPA is, then you should go find your closest traffic intersection and play in it.

...screeeeeeeee.... thud.
GPA = Grade Point Average, and is (usually on a 0-4 scale) the easiest way to tell how well you're doing in school... high school or college.

This topic was covered in platoonleader.org. It was determined that the post was skewed. GPA didn't account for 50% of the OML. NALC played the largest role this year.

Yeah Roger, that was my post there as well. Not that I really care - but whatever. I don't know how much I agree with NALC being weighted the most. My buddy was #1 in 13th regt, and still was lower in the National OML then others from my school. And hes not as much of a ragbag as I am.

An old chief of mine works up at the assesions branch and he told me that it was based on the scholar, leader, athlete rating system. So APFT counted twice, as the leader portion was pulled from camp where apperently the thirds (top mid, bottom) were not even a factor. Only APFT, Land Nav, and overall leadership scores were looked at in the logarithm. Then the Athlete section of your campus CER which is all APFT was used for the athlete score and finally GPA from your transcripts is used for scholar scoring. so APFT was close to 44.44%, GPA accounts for a full 33.33% and every thing else counts as 22.23%.

So now we have horrible leaders, who are really in shape, and so-so intelligent. Thanks for the intel Kensei.
