Pretty good comic, definately some truth in there about the MSI/IIs. We almost have the opposite problem around here. Its cold enough that we have to beg some MSI/IIs to want to hangout for hours waiting for the next SQD to come through their lane while they're freezing their arses off. We can't build fires anymore ;-)

based on personal experience, if you're co enrolled in AROTC and AFROTC, some AF cadre will get real pissy if you do OPFOR for Army lab. (in addition to already throwing a fit about being co enrolled)

I'm confused about the way you school's do things. All our FTXs and Mini-FTXs are mandatory for all classes, and Is,IIs, and IIIs consist of the squads (with the IIs squad leaders now and then) and the IVs OpFor.

Those AFROTC cadre just don't want their dinks break their fingernails or get dirty (read: "learn to be men")--THAT's why they don't want them to play "Army"...

here Af isnt allowed to do any king of organized run that isnt on the track. we dont want to get our cadets hurt before "field" training. We used to have AF play opfor for us, boy did that make those little fags happy. Anyway.

Here, out MS 4's are the lane evaluators. The MS 3 class makes up 1 squad that goes against the OPFOR which is basically a handful of MS 1's and MS 2's. The FTX is only mandatory for contracted cadet's. MS I's and 2's can go for extra credit.

MS-IIIs make up our squads, sometimes with I/IIs thrown in. IVs are the evaluators and the OPFOR. I/IIs combined often have their own squads. We just don't have enough committed I/IIs to play OPFOR for us.

Co-enrolled people aren't allowed to go on FTX's here either. FTX's are only mandatory for contracted cadets here. I haven't contracted yet, but I go to all of them. I may be incorrect, but I think only contracted MS-I/II's get to be OPFOR here also.

I've heard some things have changed since I got out of ROTC 3 yrs ago, but FTXs were mandatory for all cadets. At least at our Batt. They had a make up lab available for co enrolled cadets or other cadets who missed lab that week.

I recall during the Spring FTX, after one of the missions, we were doing an EPW search. It was dark, so when I was "reading" the patches, I said "I can't see, but it probably says "US Army" with an ROTC patch..." Nobody really cared, but the kid I was searching said "Nope, US Air Force. Air Power!!!" I wanted to punch that kid in the fucking face right there.

It was some punk I knew from AFROTC. In case you didn't know, even though I was an AFROTC cadet, and an AF brat, I don't care too much for AF cadets, particulary the AAS pussies. I got along much better with Army cadets, particularly PRs.
