Thought you guys might be interested in this. I just found out and applied. If you do this you are an independent contractor. Anyway check out the faq site I posted to learn more. I hit a few key points.

Take Control of Unit End Strength
Earn up to $2,000 for each new recruit who enlists and reports to Basic Training.

Can I be an AGR Soldier and do this?
No, G-RAP is not currently available to AGR Soldiers. Future similar programs such as Every Soldier a Recruiter (ESAR) are being considered for AGR participation.

Can educators, coaches, guidance counselors, college professors, or other COI's participate in G-RAP?
No, COI's cannot be a part of G-RAP in any way due to conflict of interest. Part of the online application requires the applicant to certify they are not in any of the above mentioned positions. Part of the evaluation of the applicant will be to determine the validity of this disclaimer

So in theory if you have a buddy who wants to enlist in the guard, you can make $2,000 bucks.
That just sounds way to easy.

Well you have to be contracted through the program though. Dude the Army is throwing money into recruiting now like I have never seen. Hell you could make a deal with a guy to join and split it. Thats $1,000 a person. You for recruiting him and him for joining and he gets his bonus on top of it.

My application was accepted. Here is part of the e-mail I recieved after taking the online training course.

Congratulations on your successful completion of the G-RAP training modules.

Your welcome kit with promotional materials and your $50 pre-programmed cash card will arrive within approximately two weeks.

You get $50 just for completing the training course. Make sure your state is offering the program and then go for it. This is fucking awesome.

Thats just it, the military isn't the one controlling your pay. It says about 30-45 days after they swear in at MEPPS and then I think it is the same after they report to basic.

Both my roomates have gotten and successfully used their GRAP cards. Note: if I remember correctly, they don't have visa/MC logo on them, so not everywhere accepts it.
