reminds me of when we did the live fire with the M1. they put that little metal thing up between the gunner and the ___ (fill in blank with proper term). i didnt see it go back but thank god nothing was back there. the paladin was fun too, all that damn open room and you think some of it would be safe.

The safe/ arm handle is right beside the left side of the 120mm gun breach in the M1. I used to have my loaders hold onto it during firing to show them 1) they could perform normal operations up to that point in space & be safe & 2) that they NEVER wanted to cross over into the area beyond it.

We used to call the apparatus that caught the expended afcaps the "cage"...
