bring 2 or 3, it doesnt matter... just keep your wet weather gear and canteens at the top, they told me to take that shit out at the airport and i had to go search for it

It said in the packet that we got (the 145) that most airliners allow one suitcase, and one duffel bag to be checked, plus a carry on. So you don't have to fit everything in one suitcase.

So you don't have to fit everything in one suitcase.Theory for me is 1 for camp, then a separate for NSTP since I travel there directly, plus carry-on which will be camp stuff also.

yeah- needs are pretty different. nursing books, steth, civilian stuff for days off (really won't need any heels, make-up, or perfume at LDAC)

You can only check one duffle bag? Crap, I thought that airlines allowed you two of them. Are they relaxed at LDAC about storing additional gear for follow-on training or do they get into your hair about it?

no they just throw all your shit into a conex. the airlines for the most part are a lot more lenient when it comes to people with military orders. I checked two bags on my flight back from ldac, no problem.

yeah, regular military olive drab duffel bags. However, if all you have is civilian gear, I still dont believe the airlines will hassle you, just show them your orders. this really isnt anything to fret over.
