So there I was, roommate and I had just gotten out of our aerobics class and were at the video place when my phone starts ringing... recognized the ring- it's G's ring, so I picked up the phone "Good afternoon, Mr. Gambit". A confused voice on the other end said... "Um, no... I'm calling from a payphone at LDAC... Do you know who this is?"

Anyway, after that very strange beginning (seriously even came up with G's name)Un4given is doing swimmingly- PT test went pretty well, did a great job on lnav and marksmanship, and loves his troop/platoon. He also mentioned he'd met up with a few AIFAers since he got there. Anyway, 3rd Reg lives...

Huh... that's wierd, but I can top it. I got a phone call yesterday from the Technical Industrial Lead from US SOCOM, wondering why I had called. Apparently my name and number had been left on his machine... he is the go-to guy for companies wanting to sell stuff to SOCOM, and figured that I had gotten his info from a congresswoman. You want to talk about confused? I must've looked like the biggest idiot in the world. He didn't mind ("one less thing to deal with!" was his comment), but I'm still trying to figure out WTF that was all about.

leaving in 10 days, and trying to drink as much beer as I can before I go. Although, I don't think that I will call anyone, and I don't think that I have SOCOM connections

well, it also came up with your name, so I was confused also. actually, you should feel special- you have your own ring; other people get put into ring groups so I know what I'm dealing with before I get to the phone (family, friends, PR's, business contacts, etc).

Yeah, Jake and I are going to rock the 9th... we'll have fun times. I'm not really drinking much (had a nice bottle of wine last night, though) just more of the sleep-on-demand thing, which is truly beautiful.
