Has anyone else done the new Army PT? Thoughts on it...rants?

I heard something about this a while ago. What exactly are the details?

There are no more pre working out stretches. You do a new series of stretches such as the windmill, and a modified push up. (There's about 12 of them) It takes about 20 minutes to get though it. Than you move into the only part of PT that you are allowed to control, and do sprints or a short run. (No more than 3 miles I think) After that is complete, you go into the same exercises you did at the start, just slower. The whole thing is meant to train you for things you're gonna do on the battlefield.

BTW-You are no longer allowed to sound off when you "extend to the left"

Well in that I case, I fucking hate it. If, and when, I get to my first assignment (ha, I said ass) I will fucking refuse to do this kinda stupid shit. I mean, wtf, no more screaming at the top of my lungs when I extend to the left? Okay okay, I never really screamed at the top of my lungs when we extend to the left. It was more like a half assed murmur or grumble. Sorta like "i hate my fucking life" in a real low tone.

That is wicked gay. Are you sure that just isn't a unit type style of PT? I have yet to hear much about a Army-wide change in the PT format. Except, did anyone hear that rumor about the new APFT? It involved hanging from bars, sprints, and an assortment of strange activities. It sounded like PFTs would take 4 hours to complete, there goes the day.

Some bases have started it, most haven't. From what I've been told it's gonna be Army-wide...but as always, that could change.
