Interesting. I haven't seen the ALARACT or MILPER message about it yet, so don't go throwing it on a uniform yet. Thanks for posting it though, it is the first I've heard of it.

Although one could already earn around 4 ribbons for showing up and breathing an award from a country representing it's gratitude is a nice token of appreciation. I sure hope they intent to do great things with their freedom found by many's loss. I for one think this is a step in the right direction, better than a public statement denouncing us huh?

I was thinking the same thing, Girex. Karzai will just give us the bird as we leave.

Wes... that's why the title said, "proposed" I'd imagine it will take months if not years for it to come to life, but if you read their letter, it looks like it was written in the same DOD award double speak... so, it may already be in the works. Wes, I'm more ticked that I just got a new set of Ultrathin ribbons and a new Medal Medic full-sized medal mount... I was hoping they would last a while...

Just wanted to make things extra clear for some of our readers who are of the mindset "oh shiny!" Not saying you implied anything about it being approved.
Anyway, just had mine ordered recently since I finished up SLC and my last tour and I needed an update. I'm up to about $80 an order at this point and I'm getting the regular mounted ribbons, devices, and rack. This is getting costly.

I shoot at shiny objects :). I just thought it was a nice gesture, I for one won't rebuild mine until this next rotation.. It wouldn't b worth it
